Have you been at Baler? If not, you should plan an itinerary and have a vacation. We went there early summer and had a tour, unfortunately we didn't visit all the tourist spot because we don't have much time left. Anyway, I'm sharing this blog so you can have an idea where must to go. Here is what we did!
We rent an SUV to tour us around to the beautiful baler which is cost us PHP 350 per person (4 persons for PHP 1400). My friend saw the number of this guy from some blog that’s how we got the number and contacted him. We had an agreement that we will go to Balete Tree Park, Ditumabo Mother Falls,Ermita Hill & Diguisit Beach and Rock formations
And then, the driver picked us from our Hotel. So we met manong driver and I forgot his name. He is nice and very accommodating. And I think he is not doing this for living but to show the beauty of their province to tourist like us. Maybe to earn money is just a bonus for him. My friends and I felt that he is enjoying to be our tour guide.
Heading to Balete Tree ParkOur first destination is Balete Tree Park
Balete Tree Park has the most famous tree in Baler and it is located at Maria Aurora. This is the largest balete tree in Asia and estimated about 600 ++ years old. Imagine that.

When we arrived at Balete Tree there are bunch of teenagers approached us to take our photos with the tree. We have a total of 4 cameras (of course all of us wants to have the picture of balete tree with our own cam). So the 4 teenagers got our camera. I was hesitant at first because I’m afraid that they’ll just run away our cameras. So we just keep an eye on them.
Igorot and KoreanWhile they taking our photos, we really enjoy posing. They also enjoy taking pictures. In fact, they have different tricks and styles taking photos of us. The picture taking took for 1 hour long as I remember… So we gave some gratuity (pang merienda) for the teenagers as a thanks for taking our pictures. I felt guilty to think that they’ll going to run away our camera =(. What am I thinking?

Picture of us with the Locals and teenagers thereAccording to manong driver those teenagers are students and earning money to sustain their education by assisting tourist like us. I felt bad again =(. When we are leaving the balete tree, the teenagers bought a food from a vendor. They eating out there and waving us goodbye with smile.
